Ineke Kanters studied history in Rotterdam. Following her college years, she served as a producer for Studio Sport (Dutch public television) and as an Internet editor at the Netherlands Broadcasting Foundation in Hilversum. Hereafter, she worked as a fund manager at the Rotterdam Media Fund and as development executive producer at Kasander Film. Since January 2012, she has been running her own company while also working part-time at Waterland Film among others, where she was actively engaged in the development, financing and production of feature films. In January 2016, she co-founded The Film Kitchen with Jan van der Zanden. In 2023 she partnered with Lisette Kelder, now sharing ownership of The Film Kitchen. Ineke is a highly experienced producer, with nearly 25 years of experience, having (co-)produced films such as: Dealer (2021), My Father is a Saucisse (2021), Sunburned (2019), Fight Girl (2018), Cobain(2018), Disappearance (2017), Handle with care (2017) and White Sun (2016).
Lisette Kelder studied Journalism in Utrecht. She started working in film at an early age and has worked as a producer for nearly 20 years. First as associate producer at Kasander film (a.o. Greenaway’s Nightwatching(Venice 2007) and Andrea Arnold’s Fish Tank (Cannes 2009)). Later Lisette developed into a freelance line producer but soon after became a (executive / co-) producer for Circe Films and Kaap Holland Film. Her producer credits include a broad range of both arthouse films and mainstream films, a.o.: Wander to Wonder (Venice 2023), Kurak Günler (Cannes, Un Certain Regard 2022), Tiempo Compartido (Sundance Winner Special Jury Prize 2018), Cobain (Berlinale Generation 14+ 2018). In 2023 Lisette joined forces with Ineke Kanters at The Film Kitchen and became co-owner.
