10-year-old Jojo has a difficult family life marked by a unpredictable father and an absent mother. One day he brings home a jackdaw and finds comfort in their unexpected friendship. He keeps it hidden from his father because he sometimes suffers from tantrums. Jojo finds himself caught between caring for the jackdaw and being loyal to his father. Until, due to their hidden grief, the bomb bursts.
