White Sun

Films - 2016

For the first time in 10 years, since he joined the Maoist guerrillas and left to fight against the regime, Agni goes back to his home village because his father passed away. Back home, the reunion with his wife and the other villagers soon becomes a struggle whilst they try to bury his father. Agni’s journey home becomes a portrait of the dysfunctional nature of post-conflict Nepali society: the essence of life during the years that the fragile peace process has been deadlocked.
